About
Hi, I'm Gus Bhas
I'm an internist-in-training based in Bali (IDN), a curious clinical developer, and a lifelong learner exploring the intersection of clinical medicine, health informatics, creativity, and human connection.
I believe meaningful progress begins with understanding people, building with intention, and sharing what matters.
What Shapes My Perspective
Grounded in a desire to understand myself and others on a personal level, one question keeps guiding me: how can care be personalized, evidence-based, and holistic at the same time?
Beyond data and diagnoses, there is the person living with the disease.
I keep learning that clinical data tell only part of the story. Understanding the person behind them takes context, curiosity, and human connection. Yet personalizing care also means understanding how each person's clinical characteristics differ from others in a similar population, and that requires clinical informatics and statistics.
I believe the best solutions begin with understanding how medicine, technology, and humanity fit together.
What I'm Doing
As a resident, I was given a three-letter code name for shift scheduling, and I chose “BHS” so it would be easy to recognize. Who knew those three letters would come to summarize what I care about: to Build, Heal, and Share.
To make room for my growing fascination with technology, I also created MEDIx (Medical Education Development and Clinical Informatics Exploration). Through MEDIx, I explore the intersection of medical science, clinical knowledge, data, and health technology to support more thoughtful healthcare solutions.
Different paths, guided by a shared intention: making what we learn and build genuinely useful to people.
What I Hope to Contribute
I'm here to keep learning, turn meaningful questions into practical ideas, and share knowledge that helps others think and act more thoughtfully.
I believe progress in healthcare is not only about what science and technology make possible, but about how they help us care for people.
Understand the human. Build with purpose. Share what matters.
I'm glad you're here.
